Optical fiber pigtails are fiber optic cables with one end of the connector that can be directly connected to other devices and equipment through this end, the other end being fused to the input cable. The pigtail must be selected in proportion to the diameter of the fiber optic cable and the interface of the device. Optical fiber interfaces, generally inserted into a fiber-specific patch panel, come in two types, or single ports, depending on the type of interface. Optical fiber can be installed with special tools that allow us to transfer data. Some of these types of interfaces are: MT-Rj, LC, SC, ST, VF-45, which are also divided into single or multimode modes. Optical fiber pigtails are available in two modes single and multimode individually. 12 packs are provided in network equipment and according to ISO / IEC 11801 optical pigtails should have a length of 2 to 3 meters, however, compliance with ANSI / TIA 568-C.3 standard is required in the production of passive fiber optical components. On this basis, single-mode fiber optic pigtails are offered with a variety of ST, LC, SC and E2000 connectors that can be polished according to standard.
