Soufian cement
Iran

Due to the low hydration heat properties and the pozzolan nature of this type of cement, it is delayed and should be kept for a longer time after pouring to achieve the ideal result. Appropriate additives should be used in concrete operations at temperatures below 6 ° C. In this type of cement, if the percentage of pozzolan consumed is in the 20% range, it is called Portland Pozzolani and if the consumption pozzolan is in the range of 20%, it is called special Portland pozzolanic cement. It is desirable to use this cement in hot and humid weather.

Special pozzolanic cement Soufian cement

Pozzolans are siliceous or aluminate silicates that are not self-adhesive, but are powdered together with moisture to form lime and form calcium silicate compounds that have adhesion properties. In the preparation of Portland pozzolanic cements, they add a certain percentage of pozzolanic materials to Portland cement and provide new properties with the resulting cement. One of the most important properties of these cements is their resistance to sulfate attack. The hydration heat of Portland Pozzolanic is much lower than that of conventional Portland cements and is therefore used in bulk concreting such as barriers. But in winter, where there is a risk of frost, they should not be used. Also, their strength is less than a year before ordinary cements, so Portland Pozzolanic cements cannot be used in areas that require rapid resistance. Durability and durability of concrete made with pozzolanic cement in corrosive environments and saline waters is higher than conventional cements and the degree of hydration heat of this type of cement is lower than conventional cements.
